November. 50 hours maintenance of Honey Mooney at Stellenbosch airfield. Still no more metal found in the oil filter, so Honey Mooney’s engine is still in great shape.
It was a lovely day and we lunched outside with Mouse (Fizzy’s Mum), Tom, Bob and Fizzy at a Stellenbosch winery. After a delicious lunch of roast lamb, we still managed to find some room for a copious barbecue dinner at Bob and Fizzy's house with their friends Roger and Linda.

November 2007. Another beautiful day and perfect weather for a scenic flight over the Cape of Good Hope. Flemming has temporarily removed the extra fuel tank from the back seat so we could fly Fizzy and Bob to Lamberts Bay (VFR 1:18 hrs) via the Cape and back (VFR 0:59). The crayfish season has just opened so we didn’t have any trouble deciding what to eat for lunch at Lamberts Bay hotel. In the evening, Dorise Hettlich invited us to a delicious dinner at her house in Erinvale, Somerset West together with Graham Smith, Harold Bloch and their spouses. They are both very experienced aviators based at Stellenbosch and had many interesting stories to tell.

November. Another sunny day. Bob and Fizzy drove us to the Waterfront in Cape Town where we shopped and had a delicious seafood lunch at a Belgian restaurant with a view to Table Mountain.
November. Back to Stellenbosch airfield to fix the door brake attachment on Honey Mooney, which was broken by the refuelling guy in Upington.
