    Henry Currie of Groenfontein married Nellie Johanna Bowker, daughter of William Monkhouse Bowker and Hester Susannah Oosthuisen of Thorn Kloof. The Currie's were a very hospitable couple and Groenfontein was always a happy place where the younger generation of the family loved to congregate. Henry died while still a young man and Nellie stayed on at the farm and educated all her children before selling it in 1915, when she went to stay with her son Walter in the Adelaide district. Nellie died on 6th October, 1929.
