1 | A Chaplain in the Boer War Written by D.F. Gibbs. Published in December 1974 in the Military History Journal - Vol 3 No 2 or the South African Military History Society. Account of Eustace St Clair HILL activities and views in the Boer war 1899 to April 1901. Perhaps a key to his character was a note he wrote in his diary on 26 August, 1900: 'I am bound to say my religious zeal was really secondary to my desire for adventure.' | ||
